West Palm Beach Approves Addition to Affiliate d’s Mixed-Income Housing Development

The city of West Palm Beach, Florida, recently approved a new addition to Affiliated Development’s mixed-income housing development. The development, named The Spot, will feature 155 new affordable and workforce housing units, along with 2,600 square feet of commercial space.

The Spot will be located in the Pleasant City neighborhood of West Palm Beach, an area that has been identified as a high-need community for affordable housing. The development is being designed to provide housing options for a range of income levels, with 90% of the units reserved for households earning up to 60% of the area median income, and the remaining 10% reserved for households earning up to 120% of the area median income.

The new addition to the development will also feature a range of amenities, including a swimming pool, fitness center, computer lab, and community garden. Additionally, the development will be built to meet green building standards, with features such as energy-efficient appliances and low-flow plumbing fixtures.

The project is being developed by Affiliated Development, a real estate development firm that specializes in the development of affordable and mixed-income housing. The firm has developed a number of similar projects throughout the country, with a focus on providing high-quality, affordable housing in underserved communities.

. The development is part of a larger effort by the city to address the affordable housing crisis, and is expected to serve as a model for future development in the area.
